The Foundation In March 1991 Banca del Gottardo constituted under the denomination “Foundation Galleria Gottardo”, a foundation based in Lugano in conformance with the legal requirements of the Swiss Civil Code. The aim of the foundation is exclusively for public use and, more specifically, the promotion of the arts and culture in its own gallery space, which is the property of Banca del Gottardo, in via Franscini 12 in Lugano. In order to fulfil its aim the foundation foresees in particular the organisation in the Gallery of temporary exhibitions in collaboration with other institutions, museums and private collectors, both national and international. It also publishes or participates financially in the publication of brochures, books and catalogues related to the exhibitions, without any commercial scope or benefit, entrance to all presentations and exhibitions is free.
